Funny: So, Valentine’s Day was this week. We planned on it just being a normal missionary day, but then the Spirit gave us another idea. Instead we decided to spend our day showing our people in Hot Springs how much we love them! We made them all valentines with little candies (the kind you give out in elementary school) and delivered to them! We saw so many blessings that come from acting out of love. That night I made lasagna for my companion and Sister Training Leaders, and we had a very romantic candlelit dinner. Also, one of the members gave us each a chocolate rose and box of chocolates! Ironically, I celebrated Valentine's Day more on my mission than I ever have before! 😄 Spiritual: This week I got to go to the temple for the first time in almost 9 months! It was my first time going to the Bismarck temple! (The only temple in our huge 5 state big mission) President Howell gave us special permission to go to the temple (even though it's a 7 hour drive) so President...

Funny: This week we had dinner with a member and he invited his friend and we got to teach him a lesson about the restoration of Christ’s gospel! It was going pretty well, when all of a sudden, he stood up and put his hands on my companion’s head and back he started shaking and acting kind of crazy. He then informed us that he healed her. We thanked them and went to the car. We got a pretty good laugh from it! Spiritual: On Sunday the whole stake presidency came to our little branch to be a part of branch council, and to uplift our little congregation. It was so wonderful! The stake president here is so close with the Spirit, as he talked, the Spirit filled the room. I felt once again a confirmation of my testimony. I felt God’s love for me, I felt the light and truth that this is Christ’s restored gospel once again upon the earth. It doesn't take big crazy experiences to know that these things are true. Funny:   The Dakotas are experiencing a polar vortex sweeping in. It hit us yesterday. It's not that bad though. Last week we had a high of 55! I didn't even need a jacket! then today we woke up and the high is like 5. It's not that bad. I have to keep telling myself that. Poor Sister Eliesa is used to Tongan weather, weirdly I get colder easier than her. That is why President Howell has us in Hot Springs, we are the two most cold intolerant sisters in the mission.  Spiritual: The Atonement of Jesus Christ can truly get us through any and all things. The Lord knows us so well. Knows our strengths and weaknesses, knows our needs and desires. He knows all of it. He loves us so much. He lets us go through hard things so we can grow and learn. I am very grateful for that. Looking back there is not one thing I would have changed about my circumstances. Even when they were hard.
