Wow! What a week! So full of miracles! Heavenly Father is so kind and wonderful! He brought to pass SO many miracles in this land. I feel very thankful for this last week, and these last 18 and a half months! I have learned a lot. This last week Margaret and Lijah got baptized! I love their family so much!!! We also found 12 very elect people to start teaching this week! God really answered our prayers, because we had been praying with all our might that He would lead us to the elect and He did! It was a miracle. We worked hard and taught a lot of lessons. Tiffany, and Carol will be baptized soon, and Marie and Esther who I've kept in touch with from Fargo messaged me and told me they will be getting baptized soon too! Patty who we were able to find and baptize within a transfer will be going on a mission not too long from now! And William (the first person we were able to teach and baptize on my mission) will be getting sealed to his wife hopefully not too long from now! I feel

We were teaching a woman named Tiffany this week, and she is truly amazing! She went online and requested a Book of Mormon because she wanted to learn more. Just after meeting with her once she wanted to be baptized. The next time we met with her we explained some of the commandments God wants us to keep so we can be prepared to make and keep sacred promises with him called covenants such as baptism. As we were teaching her about the Word of Wisdom, she told us how she has noticed that she feels better when she doesn't partake of alcohol, tobacco, coffee, and tea. So, she got up and put into a trash bag every single thing in her house related to those substances. She put her coffee maker, a cigarette making machine, all her tea, coffee, cigarettes, cigarette making materials, and everything else she had into a bag for us to throw away on our way out of her house. It was amazing! We were blown away by her commitment to live what she felt was right despite the opposition. She is a

Well my cooking skills came in handy this week for thanksgiving! We hosted thanksgiving at the church and invited people from the community who didn't have anywhere to go for thanksgiving. We found new people to teach, and I made SO many mashed potatoes and rolls, and Turkey, and pie. The Senior Sisters did stuffing and more Turkey, and yams. It was really fun! I love cooking for big groups. ALSO I got interviewed by two different news places this week! One in Sioux falls and another in Pierre just for all the volunteering we have been doing with feeding South Dakota and the other churches around town. They quoted me in the newspaper! So that was pretty cool.     I got to watch Lijah and Margaret be married on Sunday! It was amazing! It was supposed to be Saturday, but a huge and terrible blizzard came through, and snowed a few feet on us so we had to postpone it to Sunday. They even had to cancel church because of the snow so it was a huge miracle that they were able to be m

Funny: This last Sunday in one of the small branches near our area they usually have a very small turn out for church, but they were setting apart the new branch president and so there were more people than expected. They ran out of bread for passing the sacrament. There was none left in their very small one room building. So, they went out and came back and blessed and passed some skittles one of the Deacons had. It just goes to show "it mattereth not what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink when ye partake of the sacrament, if it so be that ye do it with an eye single to my glory remembering unto the father my body and blood which was shed for the remission of your sins." D&C27:2 Spiritual: I got to experience a tender moment this week. Margaret and L'Ijah have four really cute kids that are 4,3,2, and 1. We have been teaching their family how to pray and inviting them to pray together more. Kahliyah (the four-year-old) at our last lesson offered to say the cl

Funny: Having been on a mission for a while now sometimes I just get super tired! Well there was a day this week where we were going around trying people. I was very tired for some reason, and due to this as I was walking, I tripped on the sidewalk and fell super dramatically. I just laid there for a second on the sidewalk because I was so tired. My companions were laughing so hard. My leg got pretty scraped up, but it was honestly really funny! Spiritual: Margaret and Elijah (two of the people we are teaching) they are getting baptized the weekend before I go home, and getting married before that! They asked us to be their bridesmaids and we are extremely excited for them. I love them so much; they have become some of my dear friends! There is a very meaningful phrase in Lakota: Mitakuye Oyas'in. They are words of prayer, It means all my relatives. It acknowledges our spiritual connection to all others and our need to help one another. If we think and act as family to all ot

Funny: Our mission President is very big on us going to events and such to talk to people in normal and natural ways. So, we decided to go to the Walmart ribbon cutting! They have been remodeling it for the past few months, and it is the only descent store for miles and miles. Honestly one of the best places we are able to meet new people and start teaching them is good ol' wally world!  Spiritual: We had Emma's baptism this week it was SO special! Her dad was converted and baptized about 2 years ago now, and she has been wanting to do the same ever since. Her mom wasn't too keen about it though, but now we are teaching her mom and all of her siblings! I love watching families come unto Christ SO much! There is a quote in Preach My Gospel that says "Heaven is a continuation of the ideal family." I cherish those hopes of being able to live with my family forever, and it makes me overjoyed helping other families do the same! Where I'm at: We got our transf

Funny: This week was Halloween as I'm sure you know! There was a branch trunk or treat, that we attended with a bunch of the people we are teaching. We dressed up as the Book of Mormon and the Bible, because they go together. Everyone really liked our costumes! Then we also got to have zone P-day this week, and we all carved pumpkins together. Most people did a face of some sort, that's typically what you do when you carve pumpkins, but since I figured this will probably be the only pumpkin I ever carve on a mission, might as well make it a spiritual pumpkin. So, I decided to carve out the plan of salvation in my pumpkin spelling out the word love. Then we brought it to a lesson later that week, and taught them the plan of salvation using my pumpkin, and then we gave it to them! It was awesome! Spiritual: This week yet again our prayers were answered. The Lord always does that. It is so kind of Him. We had been praying hard and working hard to find at least 3 new people to
