Funny: Now that winter is moving in the bugs in South Dakota have decided it is time to invade our home. Sister Hamblin is deathly afraid of bugs. Especially spiders. Every time she sees a spider she will not be in that room until she is certain that I have killed it. Every companionship needs at least one who is brave enough to kill spiders. I am that one this companionship. We saw a giant spider right outside of our house. It must have been some type of tarantula because it was the same size as one. This spider even scared me! When we saw it, I asked her what would you have done if it was inside? Very calmly she said "I would have crapped my pants".

Spiritual: General Conference was this week! I don't know if there is something about watching conference on a mission, but the spirit was So strong, and every question that I had going into conference was clearly and specifically answered. One of my questions was how can I labor more diligently exhorting with all long suffering, to persuade others to believe in and follow Christ. (which is based off of a scripture in Jarom 1:11) There were a few talks where they mentioned exhorting. I looked up the definition and it means to encourage which means to give support, confidence, or hope to. As I truly love, support, and encourage those I meet and teach, that is how I can be the best missionary I can be. While being on my mission, I have truly felt the love God has not only for me, but for others as well. As I grow to love them and serve them as he loves them and serves them, that is when I know I am in the service of my God.

Where I'm at: This transfer is just flying by! It's already half over! I feel like it just started. Ever since Elder Taylor of the 70 came and spoke to my mission we have begun to teach a lot more people. We had to stop teaching some, but I have seen so many blessings this transfer. God truly does direct us, to the people that he wants us to help and love. I feel so honored to be able to spread the good news of the gospel. I have seen the way it blesses lives and families. I am truly grateful to be a missionary. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
