Funny: Because my poor little Tongan companion is not used to this cold South Dakota winter (nor am I I'm afraid) her knuckles dry so bad they crack and bleed. The other day someone asked her "oh no what happened to you hands!?" She said "It's fine it's just from beating up my companion all day." "Oh alright then." She makes me laugh! 😄

Spiritual: This week we were out knocking on doors, and this really sweet old couple opened up the door, and let us in. Sometimes Heavenly Father helps me to see people the way he sees them, with infinite potential and worth. Meeting them, I felt like I saw them as they really are, children of God. We taught them about Jesus Christ's restored gospel, and we all felt the spirit. They invited us to come back often. I am so grateful to feel the love that God has for us, I know it to be true.

Where I'm at: Custer is beautiful despite the cold. Sister Eliesa and I are the two sisters in our mission most intolerant to the cold, so President Howell put us in the warmest region of the mission. However when you wake up in the morning and its 15 degrees outside, it doesn't feel too warm. I'm just grateful we aren't in North Dakota right now. Custer is great though! Our teaching pool is growing, and there are so many opportunities to serve others here. I love it.
