Funny: In Custer South Dakota right now since its politics
season there are people who go knocking on doors to share their political
opinions. So, the other day while we were doing scripture study some political
people came a'knockin at our door. When we opened the door, I said "Hi we
are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, usually we
are the ones knocking, but now that we have you here can we share a message
with you about Jesus Christ?" They politely declined, but it was nice
having people knock on our door for a change 😄
Spiritual: This Sunday was our regional stakes conference.
So it was a broadcast for the whole region. Jeffrey R Holland was one of the
speakers. They spoke a lot about the importance of "gathering Israel"
or in other words sharing Christ's message with the world. I have felt of the
importance of sharing the gospel with others. I have seen it change lives
including my own. I will share the good news of the gospel for the rest of my
days.
Where I'm at: My new companion Sister Eliesa is amazing!!! I
love her so much. We were in the MTC at the same time, and came to North Dakota
together. It's a good sign when you're only a few days into the companionship
and you already have matching sweaters and do each other’s hair. I can only
assume the same goes for elders. Custer is amazing too! We covered Custer as
part of our last area, but now that we can devote almost all our time to this
town 1000 people big. The work is great here! The Lord definitely leads us
towards people who are prepared. Right now, we got permission to teach someone
outside of our area who speaks Tongan. It is SO cool to watch Sister Eliesa
teach in her native language. She has been teaching me a bit of Tongan! I hope
I get to visit her in Tonga after the mission.
'Ofa atu (I love you)
