Funny: we had stake conference yesterday and it was amazing!
Sara is getting baptized next week, and she came to the conference, and was
able to meet the stake president and Elder Rossen of the 70. During stake
conference they called her out and briefly shared her experience of receiving a
witness from the spirit that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is
the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She went bright red, but she was smiling
so big! I feel so blessed to know that Heavenly Father truly does place us in
the path of those who are prepared to hear the gospel.
Spiritual: Elder Rossen gave an analogy I really loved to
the missionaries after stake conference. He said imagine you wake up tomorrow
and find yourself in a row boat with nothing but some ores. In every direction
you look, you can see nothing but ocean. What would you do? Most of us would
probably start rowing. Then imagine the same scenario, but this time way off in
the distance you see a tiny little light. How much farther would you be able to
row when you are able to see your goal? In Hebrews it says without vision the
people perish. When we have no hopes, goals, or dreams we become discouraged
and tire easily. However, when we have that little light of hope no matter how
small it can give us the strength to go so much farther. Hope is a choice we
get to make. As we choose to have hope in the savior our lives become
infinitely better. We have more strength, peace, joy and so much more.
Where I'm at: Sister Eliesa and I are moving back to Hot
Springs this week! I'm very excited! I'm also excited for Christmas! I am truly
grateful for all that I have and all that has been given to me. Thank you to
all of you. You have blessed my life in so many ways! "My joy is full,
yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God" Alma 26:11
