This week will be a short one, Today is zone p-day and we went bowling and played pod ball. It was very fun! So this week we found lots of new people to teach. Fargo is the best! Almost everyone here is from Africa or Nepal. The majority of people here are refugees or college students. Very rarely do I meet people from the Dakotas. Also Fargo is melting. With much snow comes much water. So Fargo is now flooding. We will be filling up sand bags a ton this week to help out!!! I love my companion, I love Fargo, and that's all for this week folks! ~Sister Williams

Funny: training a new missionary and opening an area is the best combination ever! I love Sister Thompson so much, and this week to help her enjoy companionship study even more, we studied the gospel together in a pretty awesome blanket fort. It was a really fun week, and we got a lot of stuff done. Spiritual: the past two Sundays, before yesterday, they cancelled church because of the cold and the snow. I could feel the effect of going without the sacrament for two weeks. When I took the sacrament yesterday, I felt the spirit poured out abundantly upon me. The feeling that comes from renewing our baptismal covenant and living the gospel of Jesus Christ, is incomparable to any other thing I have ever experienced. I am so grateful for Christs restored gospel.  Where I'm at: This area is so very prepared. I miss being in a small town, but serving in the city definitely has some advantages. There is seemingly limitless people who we can start teaching, and many of them are ...

Funny: I thought I knew what cold was, I thought I knew what snow was. I will never complain about cold and snow again! The snow banks on every street are about 4-6 feet tall! When its -30 but the suns out and the wind chill isn't too bad it feels pretty nice out. Today it was only negative 12, so I just wore a light jacket. I have never seen so much snow in my life, I didn't know it was possible. Also, we found a Book of Mormon costume in our apartment... Spiritual: Last Sunday, I fasted and prayed with all my energy that my new trainee, and I could find 5 new people to teach this last week in this area we are opening. On Saturday there was a terrible blizzard, and we had only found 1 person so far. We were determined to find more people to teach, so we got on our knees and prayed for him to lead us and guide us to people who are prepared. And we were led by the spirit to find 5 people who were extremely prepared to receive the gospel while tracting in a blizzard! They w...

Funny: Sorry I plum forgot to write last week, but something funny that happened the other day was when we were teaching pottery at the veteran’s hospital. One of the Lakota veterans Thanked me for teaching him the skill of pottery and in return he wanted to teach me a skill. He took a plastic butter knife and proceeded to show me all the different proper ways to successfully shank someone with a knife. We both learned a lot that day.  Spiritual: I have learned more what it means to consecrate yourself to the lord. When you become willing to sacrifice all that you have: your weaknesses, your fear, your pride, your time, to the Lord, he will help you to bring to pass mighty miracles for the welfare of the souls around you. I have seen this happen all through out my life, and a lot on my mission. He will make a lot out of our little. He will heal and help people. He brings joy and peace more than we even knew we were capable of feeling. I'm very grateful for all the love I have...
