Funny: Well this week was absolutely full of miracles!!! One
of them was pretty funny. So, this last Tuesday I turned 20 years old! We had
back to back lessons all day except for our dinner hour. We decided for dinner
we were going to go to Texas Road House to celebrate. All throughout dinner we
kept having people come up to us and ask us about our name tags and who we are.
We were more than happy to tell them how we are missionaries for Christs
church. We were surprised at how much success we were finding at Texas Road
House! Then when we went to pay for our meals (which were really expensive
because we both got almost $20 steaks)
We found that some man at the bar decided to pay for our meals, and he remained
anonymous so we don't know who he was. It was definitely a tender mercy! The
lord is very aware of us and blesses us when we are obedient.
Spiritual: Where to begin. Like I said before this week was
full of miracles!
This weekend we had stake conference, and Elder Nielson (The
head of the missionary department for the church) came to Fargo North Dakota to
speak to us! On Sunday a man named BJ just walked into church on saying he had
never been there before, no one invited him, he had never even heard of the Book
of Mormon, but he just felt prompted by the Spirit to come into our building on
Sunday! We have our next meeting with him tomorrow! On Saturday one of the
people we were teaching (we had only met with her twice before) came to
Saturday evening session of stake conference and felt the Spirit SO strong that
she asked if she could be baptized that night! Earlier that same day one of the
people we were teaching accepted a baptismal invitation. Both of them will be
baptized in the upcoming weeks! Fargo is just a very prepared area with
prepared people, and I feel very blessed that the Lord placed me here so that I
could help in his work. Yesterday we had a mission conference, where Elder
Nielson spoke to just us missionaries. I was so uplifted and enlightened by his
words. I am so grateful to be a member of the Lord’s church!
Where I'm at: Fargo is absolutely wonderful! I am still
extremely happy. Sister Thompson and I are loving each other and the work. I
don't see how things could be any better than this. I'm just so very grateful
to be alive! 😊🌻🦋🌞☔
ofa atu!
