Funny: Zone conference was this week! President Howell is a very energetic spiritual man. He is never holding still or sitting down the entire time I've known him. During zone conference he left the room abruptly which was not unusual for his personality. We continued the discussion we were having about missionary work, until we realized his mic wasn’t turned off, all two zones could hear as he went to the bathroom, flushed, and washed his hands. It was pretty funny! Everyone, even President was laughing about it. Spiritual: This week was full of miracles!!! To put it short and sweetly we are not doing this work, God is. I'm just so grateful to get to be a part of it! Where I'm at: Transfers are in a couple weeks, and Sister Thompson and I's time is coming to an end. President told me I will be staying in Fargo and either STL'ing or training. You never know with him though; I will go and serve in whatever capacity the Lord would have me serve. I'm so happy...

Funny: Being in North Dakota, I usually don't eat the most exotic of foods. Mostly what people feed us is meat and potatoes, and I am just fine with that! I'm a meat and potatoes kind of girl. This week however, one of our recent concerts wanted to make us dinner, and she is from Liberia. In a way she made us meat and potatoes just not how I'd normally eat it. It was fried potato leaves (just the leaves) and whole fish and some crab all mixed into what she called spicy greens soup. I've never consumed spicier food; my mouth was numb for part of the lesson. It was fun to eat because we sat on the floor, and each had a spoon, and just dug in! When I first looked at it, I was a bit intimidated, because it was just green mush with some skeletons poking out, but it wasn’t too bad! I'd eat it again if it was given to me 😊 I just need to learn how to eat red hot peppers first... Spiritual: One important thing I learned this week is the power of gratitude. Missiona...

Funny: Another new young family moved into our ward this week! They have two really cute little kids. As we were sharing our message after dinner, their two-year-old son climbed up on the couch, walked right over to me, and tried to give me a big kiss! He was cute, and he got pretty close, but I successfully avoided being kissed on my mission. 😂 Spiritual: This week I learned once again, the thing I've learned over and over every single day of my mission. Heavenly Father loves us very much, and my joy comes from Him. I'm very grateful to know this, and I am proud to proclaim it to the world. Where I'm at: We had a move this week. I'm going to miss our old apartment, but unfortunately our lease came to an end, and they wouldn't renew it. So we moved into the senior couples apartment, they moved out last transfer. It was crazy packing and moving everything in the middle of a rain storm but we managed it, in an incredibly short amount of time.  Ofa atu! ...

Funny: We live right on the border of Minnesota, and we cross it usually at least once a week. Every time we get off the freeway in Minnesota there is a weird exit where we have to drive on the left side of the road, and all of a sudden everyone's accents get stronger. We have come to the conclusion that the red river border between North Dakota and Minnesota must be some kind of dimensional portal. We have all kinds of theories about it.  Spiritual: There is a great difference between knowing of Christ, and coming to know him. In Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." We come to know Christ better as we become more like him. That was his invitation to all mankind to come follow him. I testify that we can come to know Christ, as we strive to become more like him, and do the will of the father. Where I'm at: I love that it is finally summe...
