Spiritual: I got to go to the temple this week! I haven't been in about 7 months, and I really missed the spirit that is in the temple. The moment I saw it again, I had tears start to come to my eyes. I will never again take for granted being so near the temple back home. The temple is so sacred to me because it is the closest I have ever felt to God in any place on earth. I love being a missionary because one of the things we get to do is help people live the gospel of Jesus Christ, so they can prepare to go to the temple! Where I’m at: Fargo is great! Driving to Bismarck took a long time, but it was a beautiful flat drive. With a scary thunderstorm on the way, but that's to be expected. Zone conference is this week, I’m excited for that, and the work is doing swell!

Funny: Patty's Baptism was this week!!! We were so excited for her! While she was entering the waters of baptism, we found out the Thunderbirds were in town. They were doing an air show at the same time as her baptism, so it was pretty cool having sonic booms backing up my talk on the Holy Ghost.  Spiritual: I have learned a lot about sacrifice and consecration this last week. love is made sacred by sacrifice. When we truly love the Lord, we are willing to sacrifice our fears, our pride, and our weaknesses. I've been trying my very hardest to offer as my sacrifice a broken heart and a contrite spirit, and to consecrate all my strengths for this work and for these people because I truly do love them. I'm so grateful to be in North Dakota, and serve the people here. Where I'm at: Fargo as always is wonderful the work is boomin’. As much as I miss the small town lifestyle, I love the work here! There are just so many people to talk to. It's wonderful! This week h...

Funny: I call my companion Sister Angle. Because she is an angel, and there was someone in her MTC district who mixed up angle, and angel, so she will forever be Sister Angle to me.  Spiritual: This week has been so very full of miracles! We had the Red River Valley Fair and it is incredible to see how the Lord puts people in our path. It is confirmed to me over and over again, that we are not really the ones doing the missionary work around here, it is all the Spirit! I just feel very blessed to get to help out a bit.  Where I'm at: Sister Harker and I are already best friends! We have seen a lot of growth in a small amount a time. She is a fantastic missionary! She has been preparing for a mission for a long time and she is a great missionary. I never would have guessed she was just in the MTC. I've already learned a lot from her! I'm so excited for the rest of this transfer!

Funny: Transfer calls came this week! So I only have 4 previous companions that are still serving on their missions. About a week ago there was a pre-transfer thing, and the first Sister I trained, Sister Haney, and my second trainer, Sister Archibald, became companions. Then we came to find out Sister Thompson is going to be joining them in a trio on Wednesday! So, two of the sisters I've trained and my trainer are going to be companions! 3/4 of my companions still out are going to be in the same companionship! So, in missionary lingo my "mom" is going to be companions with two of my "daughters". And they are going to be "killing" her since this is her last transfer in the mission. Our family may be crazy, but it’s ours! Spiritual: We were doing service at the emergency food pantry and a woman came up to me and said "I see God in you." I told her what she sees is the Spirit and she asked how she could have that same spirit and I told her...

Funny: I already knew that Fargo winters can get pretty crazy because of the blizzards we had a few months ago, but I didn't know about the summer storms. We were just finishing studies and having some lunch, when we looked outside. The shingles from the roofs were being torn off, roof was flying everywhere, trees were falling down, the street outside our apartment was an actual river probably about a foot or so deep. And golf ball sized hail started falling. It was at this moment that we realized we had parked our car outside instead of the garage. The hail was really brief, so we decided to brave the storm to save the car. We had parked right outside, so it only took about 10 seconds to get to the car. In those 10 seconds we became entirely, soaked! We had to ring out our skirts. It was as if we had just jumped in the shower for a few minutes. It was crazy! Then about an hour later there was blue skies and sunshine. North Dakota weather is weird. Spiritual: Love is my favo...
