Funny: So last week at district council everyone there was sick but me, and I made the mistake of proudly saying that I have never had a sick day on my mission. Well that came back and bit me in the butt. I got a really bad fever and chills and couldn't stand, so I was down for the count for a day. This just so happened to be the day that Pierre got its very own set of Senior Sister missionaries! They went on splits with us, and one of them made me homemade chicken noodle soup and stayed with me until I got better, and the other one took my companion out to work the area. It was a tender mercy from the Lord to be able to have a sweet grandmotherly woman help me when I was sick. ðŸ˜Š
Spiritual: This week we had the mission President from Chicago speak to our mission leadership council via video call, and it was amazing! He taught us a lot about seeking to know the mind of Christ. As I studied it more, I found a scripture in 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned... For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." In the footnotes for mind of Christ it takes us to several scriptures in first John that are about how we can have the mind of Christ. It primarily focuses on submitting our own will to Gods, keeping the commandments, and the one that was in all of them Is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. This is significant to me because the first step to becoming more like Christ, and having faith in him, and living His doctrine is showing our love for God by showing our love towards one another. It seems to me that like most parents, God keeps trying to teach all of us that we should love our brothers and our sisters. I hope to become more submissive and meeker to God’s will, and I hope to start by growing my love more deeply one by one for all of God’s children.
Where I’m at: Well I'm staying in Pierre this transfer, and Sister Averett will be getting transferred up to Bismark. I will be training another new missionary, and I am very excited! I love being with new missionaries. They inspire me to be better and do better, and to help them be the best they can be. I'm excited for this transfer in Pierre! Also, my great friend Sister Eliesa who I was companions with the longest is coming to be in a reservation down here called Eagle Butte. It's the first time it's had sisters, and I am very excited for her, and even more excited that we will be in the same district once again! Sorry I haven't been the best at writing in here I will be better.

Ofa lahi atu!
