Funny: This week was Halloween as I'm sure you know! There was a branch trunk or treat, that we attended with a bunch of the people we are teaching. We dressed up as the Book of Mormon and the Bible, because they go together. Everyone really liked our costumes! Then we also got to have zone P-day this week, and we all carved pumpkins together. Most people did a face of some sort, that's typically what you do when you carve pumpkins, but since I figured this will probably be the only pumpkin I ever carve on a mission, might as well make it a spiritual pumpkin. So, I decided to carve out the plan of salvation in my pumpkin spelling out the word love. Then we brought it to a lesson later that week, and taught them the plan of salvation using my pumpkin, and then we gave it to them! It was awesome!
Spiritual: This week yet again our prayers were answered. The Lord always does that. It is so kind of Him. We had been praying hard and working hard to find at least 3 new people to teach this week here in Pierre. On Saturday we decided to take five hours to just search for the Lord's elect. We visited members, and people who were formerly taught. We talked with everyone we saw. And finally, at the end of the day we found one person who said she wanted to be taught! We were thrilled. Then Sunday evening rolled around, and we hadn't found three people like we had hoped. However, we didn't feel unsuccessful because we know that we worked hard this week, and did what we believe the Lord wanted us to do, and so we felt good about it. In the last five minutes of our day on Sunday evening. We got a call from a member saying that he had two new people for us to teach (One of his coworkers, and his fiancĂ©)! It was amazing! The Lord answered our prayers, and found the people who were being prepared to receive his message. We are so blessed that the Lord does His work regardless of our own personal weaknesses.
Where I'm at: It's the last week of the transfer already! Time flies by so fast! I love Pierre, and Sister Astle. I hope I get to stay here for my last transfer, but we will see what happens. I will go and do whatever the Lord would have me do. I'm just grateful I get to be a missionary.
