Funny: Yesterday, this wonderful family we are teaching came to church, and brought all 4 of their kids. The oldest of which is 4. After church she came walking down the hall just sobbing. I was worried maybe she had hurt herself somehow, or was looking for her mom. I kneeled down, and asked her what was wrong, and she came up and wrapped her little arms around my neck, and cried. I comforted her, but I was trying to stand up, because it's against the rules for us as missionaries to hold children. As I tried to get up, she just wrapped her legs around me too, and would not let go for anything. So I had this little crying child clinging to me for dear life, and I was trying to look for her parents. When I found them they said "what's wrong!" And she wailed "I'm hungry!" My companion whispered "same."  I guess two hours is a long time to go without food for a 4 year old, and for missionaries. 😅 Spiritual: By far the best part of my week wa...

Funny: Not many can say they held a racoon on their mission, but now I can! We were visiting one of the members we haven't seen in a while, and low and behold, she had a pet racoon! Holding a racoon, was pretty exciting, but kind of scary. He tried to steal my name tag. My companion even got a picture of it. This event was one of many fun times we had this week! Spiritual: I feel very blessed, because in my life I have seen a multitude of miracles! This last week we began to teach a beautiful daughter of God who is so prepared to receive the gospel into her life. She is 13 and texted us out of the blue saying she wanted us to be baptized. As we have met with her this week, she does everything she can to follow our commitments and live the Doctrine of Christ. I love her very much!  Where I'm at: I am loving Pierre! And my companion! I can't believe how fast time is passing. I feel so grateful! And I love every second of being here.

Funny: This week was full of fun times and laughs. One funny story involves the fact that we had our first snow of the season this week. Remember the talk in conference that was talking about Ether 6 and how the wind never did cease to blow them, and they were tempest tossed, but all along the wind was blowing them towards their promised land? Well we experienced that this week quite literally! Because of this big snow blizzard up here in the Dakotas one morning when we went out the entire parking lot was a sheet of ice. To get to our car in our garage, we had to walk across. Well when we stepped onto the ice hanging onto each other for dear life "a furious wind did blow upon the face of the land" and literally blew us to our car. So, I am here to say that the words of the prophets, and apostles do come to pass!  Spiritual: This week many mighty miracles were brought to pass in this land. And as it often does it all started with sincere prayer. We pleaded with the Lord ...

Funny: I got a call a couple days ago from one of the AP's saying "I don't know if anyone told you but, even though we dissolved the Aberdeen zone we are going to have you be a Sister training leader over the reservation sisters." It was quite the surprise, but I'm really excited! They just put Sisters in Eagle Butte for the first time ever, and it is Sister Brooks and Sister Eliesa who I love! I'm quite happy about this. It was pretty funny how they just didn’t tell me until after almost a whole week in to the transfer. Spiritual: Well it's been another great week. General conference was spectacular! It's amazing to me to see when the Spirit is teaching, He always teaches us in multiple ways. I for one learned a lot about joy. Which is lasting eternal happiness. That is found through eternal families, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Where I'm at: Sister Astle is amazing, I love her, and I love training. She is from Melba Idaho, and is ve...

Funny: So last week at district council everyone there was sick but me, and I made the mistake of proudly saying that I have never had a sick day on my mission. Well that came back and bit me in the butt. I got a really bad fever and chills and couldn't stand, so I was down for the count for a day. This just so happened to be the day that Pierre got its very own set of Senior Sister missionaries! They went on splits with us, and one of them made me homemade chicken noodle soup and stayed with me until I got better, and the other one took my companion out to work the area. It was a tender mercy from the Lord to be able to have a sweet grandmotherly woman help me when I was sick.  😊 Spiritual: This week we had the mission President from Chicago speak to our mission leadership council via video call, and it was amazing! He taught us a lot about seeking to know the mind of Christ. As I studied it more, I found a scripture in 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 "But the natural man receiv...
