Funny: This week we had transfers, so I was in Rapid City all Thursday waiting for my new companion to come all the way from Minnesota. I was with my Sister Training Leader (Sister Penrod) all day, and we ended up doing a bunch of service! My favorite was we went to an old folks home to prepare meals for the elderly. In the back of this little lunch room were these two little old men. One on the piano, and the other on the drums. They were playing a bunch of old songs, that are just perfect for dancing. So in the lunch room where all the elderly could see I taught Sister Penrod how to dance and we danced and served food for a couple of hours! All of the elderly just lit up and started smiling and laughing when they walked in the room. I was so happy, I couldn't stop smiling! It was a day I won't soon forget. Making others happy brings me so much joy! Spiritual: We had so many good lessons this week! And we found a lot of new people who want to learn about the gospel. I al...

Funny: This week's funny story is courtesy of my dear companion. Sister Archibald is a little bit crazy sometimes, it makes my life more exciting and hilarious. The other night we were talking to one of our neighbors, when Sister Archibald started tapping my leg relentlessly. She did it in such a way that Pam (our neighbor) couldn't see, but she was clearly wanting to leave, and it was getting dark so I wrapped up the conversation. On our way back home, it was about 8:30, and before I could ask her what was wrong she started saying that she was extremely hungry because we hadn't eaten dinner yet, and we needed to go home and eat. The second we got in the door she started hollering saying that she is RAVENOUS! As she continued to yell the word ravenous repeatedly, she began making herself rice-aroni. She started putting it all in the pan when I heard a scream. I went to go see what was wrong, to discover that she was distraught that the packet of flavoring was already opene...

Funny: Our branch mission leader uses the word quagmire in his regular speech on a daily basis. I don't even think he knows he's doing it. It doesn't always make sense, but it's pretty funny. Spiritual: This week as I was studying the scriptures there was a particular verse that really touched my heart that I would love to share with all of you. 2 Nephi 33:10 "And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good." The book of Mormon contains the true words of Christ. The only way to know that is by reading it and feeling the Holy Ghost confirm to you that it is true. I have experienced that confirmation time and time again. I know that if anyone will read ...

Funny: This week was zone conference! I really like my zone they are so fun! President Howell is SO awesome! Funny thing that happened last zone conference that I forgot to write about. So, President Howell and I are tight we have a lot in common and he just knows me so well! As many of you know I get cold extremely easily. Also, church buildings are often too cold because they turn the a.c. way up. Last zone conference I was pretty cold in the Chappell, but most others I guess were too hot, including president Howell. So, in the middle of zone conference he went to turn the a.c. up but then he stopped and turned and asked me, out of all of the many missionaries in our zone, if I was cold because he remembered I get cold easy. I told him I was fine and he could turn the a.c. up if he wanted. He said "I didn't ask if you would be fine I asked if you are cold." I said "a little" so he just told the elders if you are too warm just to take your jacket off so all t...
